RavioliI've never been to Italy, but walking into Genova Deli seems pretty close to the real thing. The first part of the Italian experience, of course, is the espresso bar located at the front. Here you can purchase a reasonably priced espresso drink and sit at one of the surrounding tables.

On the left side of the store is a deli that stretches to the back of the store filled with meats and  cheeses, and sides for your sandwich. Above this, yummy creations or make your own combo are listed to pick from. I created my own with my favorite meat, cheese and toppings. I also made sure to spend the extra $0.25 for the fresh baked bread. And it was worth it! My sandwich was the best I've had in a long time.

The center of the store is filled with racks of Italian foods including pasta noodles, canned goods, olive oil, and deserts. And don't forget to go all the way to the back of the store where you will find hot cooked foods like polenta, spaghetti with meatballs, and garlic bread. Along the back wall there is a wide selection of beverages to complete your lunch.

I think the best part of the deli was discovering delicious items as you walk around. Don't pass up Genova Delicatessen if you are driving through Napa. It's right off Highway 29 on Trancas.
